We shall overcome...

Just been to see "The International" with Clive Owen.

So, you know the story - tha banks have the power, he works for the New York D.A. office and his investigation gets shut down 'cause the bank finances the government.

My wife and I were discussing what the point of informing onesself about corporate corruption at such a high level, when entities that are bigger than governments prevent prosecutions.

Well what's the alternative?

An enlightened few take power into their own hands by force? We've tried that haven't we?

Surely the only way to overcome corruption is through information - transparency.

Let there be no secrets, let us know who is financing what and let everyone be accountable for their actions towards one another.

We see through a glass darkly, but one day, we shall see as we are seen and know as we are known.

Any thoughts?

P.S. - I enjoyed the film. :-)
